چکیده
This paper presents the broadband noise analysis of a Counter Rotating Open Rotor (CROR) configuration. The numerical study is based on hybrid approach: Large Eddy Simulation (LES) code solves near-flow field CROR configuration and near-to-far-field propagation then predicted by Ffowcs Williams–Hawkings analogy either solid or porous formulation. LES solver uses phase-lagged assumption with proper orthogonal decomposition for data storage. approach validated against wind tunnel experimental (AI-PX7) at three different operating points focused noise. simulations shows predominant effect rear rotor suction side radiated an increasing contribution span location. source related to impingement front wakes development leading edge vortices that induce large pressure fluctuations close side.

A Two-Phase Simulation-Based Optimization of Hauling System in Open-Pit Mine
One of the key issues in mining is the hauling system. Truck and shovels are the most widely used transportation equipment in mines. In this paper, a two-phase simulation-based optimization is presented to maximize utilization of hauling system in the largest Iranian open-pit copper mine. In the first phase, The OptQuest for Arena software package was used to solve the optimization problem to p...
متن کاملThermoelastic Response of a Rotating Hollow Cylinder Based on Generalized Model with Higher Order Derivatives and Phase-Lags
Generalized thermoelastic models have been developed with the aim of eliminating the contradiction in the infinite velocity of heat propagation inherent in the classical dynamical coupled thermoelasticity theory. In these generalized models, the basic equations include thermal relaxation times and they are of hyperbolic type. Furthermore, Tzou established the dual-phase-lag heat conduction theo...
متن کاملA broadband noise prediction scheme for low-noise centrifugal blowers
In this paper we outline a semi-empirical procedure for predicting the broadband sound power spectrum radiated by any member of a family of geometrically similar, centrifugal blowers. The prediction scheme is based on the use of a normalized sound power spectrum that is obtained by measuring the sound power radiated by one member of the blower family. In the present instance, a lownoise blower ...
متن کاملa study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns
attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...
Experimental comparison between a counter-rotating axial-flow fan and a conventional rotor-stator stage
Based on the requirement of energy consumption level and weight and dimension restriction, compact axial machines are highly demanded in many industrial fields. The counter-rotating axial-flow fans could be a promising way to achieve these requirements. Because of the reduction of rotational speed and a better homogenization of the flow downstream of the rear rotor, these machines may have very...
